FRISCO, Texas (March 14, 2011) – Led by 2010 Coach of the Year Schellas Hyndman and MLS MVP David Ferreira, the reigning Western Conference Champions will look to take their first step towards returning to Major League Soccer’s biggest stage against Brimstone Cup Rival Chicago Fire at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 19 at Pizza Hut Park. Please know that parking will be at a premium--arrive early, especially if you are picking up tickets at Will Call, and get ready to cheer on FCD!

The tailgate party begins at 5 p.m. at The Londoner Frisco across from the stadium, with a performance by Rock FCD, a performing group from School of Rock Frisco, and free FC Dallas scarves for the first 500 in attendance. At 6:20 p.m., everyone is invited to join the inaugural FC Dallas March to the Match. Norma Hunt, wife of FC Dallas founder and American sports pioneer Lamar Hunt, will lead the first march. The procession, led by Mrs. Hunt, FCD Supporters Groups and the band, will walk to the North Entrance of the stadium where Mrs. Hunt will place an FC Dallas scarf on the statue of Lamar Hunt. The March to the Match and “scarfing” tradition will then precede every FC Dallas home game.

Pizza Hut Park’s gates will open at 6 p.m. with live music pregame as well as $2 beer and $4 margarita specials through halftime at the Beer Garden. Please note, parking is FREE at Pizza Hut Park for all FC Dallas home games.
Fans can then turn their attention to the sky both pre- and post-game as RE/MAX sky divers will kick off the match with a special delivery from the sky and a fireworks show will follow the match.
An annual competition founded by FC Dallas and Fire supporters during the 2001 season, the Brimstone Cup is awarded to the club with the better record in head-to-head competition during that season. FC Dallas has not lost the Brimstone Cup in nine seasons.
As the reigning Western Conference Champions, FC Dallas earned its first trip to the MLS Cup in 2010 following a record-setting year that saw the club set MLS marks for its 19-game unbeaten streak and its 12-game road unbeaten streak. The Dallas side also tied the MLS mark for fewest losses in an MLS season with four, while the Dallas defense allowed the fewest goals against in club history with only 28 through 30 games.
