Wednesday, March 14 – Interview with Louis Perea (Goal.com SPANISH)

Last week FCD’s newest player, Louis Perea sat down with John Rojas of Goal.com to talk about his recent signing with the club. Perea, who hails from Medellin, Columbia is the son of Luis Carlos “coronocoro” Perea, who played center back for the Columbian national team in the World Cup in 1990 and 1994. Even though Perea, who plays forward, (not defender like his dad) has tried to make a name for himself, he recognizes the privilege of growing up from a strong soccer family.

Brek Shea netted a brace with the United States U-23 men's national team during a pre-Olympic qualifying scrimmage.

Monday, March 19 – Instant pro: Top takes quick route to FCD (Star-Telegram.com)

FCD’s second youngest player, Top, scored his first goal in reserve league action last week. Top spent his high school years playing in the FCD academy program before elected to forego a scholarship at Maryland to go pro with FC Dallas. Top is a hard worker who counts himself blessed to be where he is. “Not many people are blessed to be playing the sport they love…”

Tuesday, March 20 – Boyd, Perez and Colombians make early impact (SoccerAmerica.com)

Blas Perez is taking the MLS by storm. Through the first two games he has scored 1 goal and notched 2 assists. He’s not the only foreign FCD player having success this season. Carlos Rodriguez (Panama) and Hernan Pertuz (Colombia) have also been steady contributors to the FCD squad this season. Thursday, March 22 – Mavericks’ play-by-play man Mark Followill set to make debut in FC Dallas TV booth

The Dallas Morning News chatted with Mark Followill ahead of his first FCD match to get his thoughts on his new gig. Followill made his debut on the Sun., March 25 telecast at Sporting Kansas City on Fox Sports Southwest.

Sunday, March 25 – Sueno returns to Frisco (Univision.com SPANISH)

Univision is once again searching for a talented soccer player who needs a break. Sueno - the talent search competition - will make stops in three MLS cities, including in Frisco. Up to 500 tryout spots will be made available at each city on a first come, first served basis.
