Mexican U17 World Cup Champion goalkeeper Richard Sanchez spoke with vivelohoy.com’s Eduard Cauich on Saturday, July 30. A consummate professional despite his age, Sanchez discusses playing forward for his youth soccer team growing up, the great advice he receives from his father and his loyalty to the Mexican National Team.

Thursday, August 4: Schellas Hyndman on ExtraTime Radio (MLSsoccer.com)


Less than 24 hours after FC Dallas defeated Alianza FC to qualify for the Group Stage of the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League tournament, head coach Schellas Hyndman spoke to the team at ExtraTime Radio. Hyndman shed light on the conversations he has had with newly appointed U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann and the way he approached FC Dallas’ run of eight games in the month of July.

Friday, August 5: Kevin Hartman staying hot for FC Dallas (Dallas Morning News)


The FC Dallas goalkeeper discusses how playing every minute of every game in all three of the competitions the club is participating in this year has helped him get in a rhythm. Andy Friedlander of the Dallas Morning News points out during a brutal 23-day stretch that included games in three countries, Hartman posted six clean sheets in seven matches.

Monday, August 8: Bobby Warshaw featured in hometown newspaper (Carlisle Sentinel)


Bobby Warshaw was back in the news last Monday, when he received a call from his hometown newspaper, the Carlisle Sentinel, to discuss his first season in Major League Soccer. Among other things, the defensive midfielder/defender discusses his first taste of MLS adversity in FC Dallas’ preseason tournament, Schellas Hyndman’s emphasis on team character and the process of becoming a better player every day.

Thursday, August 11: Brek Shea a popular topic on ESPN (Around the Horn)


Considering Brek Shea’s breakout performance with the U.S. Men’s National Team last week in Philadelphia, there was no shortage of media attention around the young FC Dallas star. Shea even became a topic of discussion on ESPN’s weekday show Around the Horn, featuring top sports columnists from across the country. The Dallas Morning News’ own Tim Cowlishaw is a frequent guest on the show, and mentioned Shea on two consecutive episodes.

Thursday, August 11: Kevin Hartman, MLS Legend (majorleaguesoccertalk.com)


Kristan Heneage of majorleaguesoccertalk.com spoke with FC Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman while on his way to training prior to FC Dallas’ match against the L.A. Galaxy. Hartman discussed picking up his Player of the Month award for July, Brek Shea’s mohawk and how the game has changed since he joined the league in 1997.
