Cannon became a married man last month when he and longtime girlfriend Kendall were wed in a small, properly social-distanced ceremony. The obviously ecstatic newlywed described how, despite the circumstances, he and his partner decided it was the right time to say their vows and become one.

“It was really a sign from God,” Cannon said. “Kendall and I are both strong believers and we were so stressed about who’s coming (because we had to limit it to 10 people), where people would stand, what people were going to eat and how everyone had to social distance.

“But we really felt it was divine timing from God. We got both wedding bands the day before all the jewelers closed. So, we thought that was another sign from God and we ultimately made the decision to finally come together and it was the best experience I’ve ever had in my life and I’ll never take it for granted.”

After giving the rundown of his special day, Cannon took fan questions and revealed his pregame ritual which he performs before taking the field on match day.

“Any time I’m entering the field, my right foot has to be the first foot on the field every single time; whether that be before the game or halftime," the defender said. "And I’ll usually listen to the same rotation of songs before every game and I always get goosebumps. Also, the night before a game, I like to visual every single situation that might present itself in the game. I’ll take 15 minutes before I go to bed and visual myself in front of goal, defending one on one, etc. so I can prepared for them.”

Cannon is famously a big hip hop fan and gave supporters a list of his favorite songs. His top four are:

1. 'Till I Collapse by Eminem
2. Legacy by Eminem
3. I Wonder by Kanye West
4. Alright by Kendrick Lamar

Before signing off, Cannon spoke about how he’s been staying sane throughout the COVID-19 quarantine and offered advice on how to handle the unprecedented situation.

“I can only focus myself. I’m going to stay fit, keep my touch (on the ball) so whenever the season does start back up and we start training again, I’ll be fully prepared. Those are the things I can control. Don’t stress or worry about the things you can’t control because you’ll go insane. That’s a part of the growth I’ve learned going through this tough time.”
