CURRENT FORM
- FC Dallas in unbeaten in four games, a run which includes a 3-1 home win over Minnesota on Aug. 29. Last time out, Dallas earned a 1-1 draw away to Sporting KC - a game which saw Luchi Gonzalez forced to make three first-half injury substitutions. On the other side, Minnesota snapped a five-game winless run with a dominant 4-0 victory over Real Salt Lake at Allianz Field, the venue FCD will travel to Wednesday night.
NEXT MAN UP
- Dallas is currently dealing with an injury list that includes Bryan Acosta, Jimmy Maurer,Matt Hedges, Fafa Picault andPaxton Pomykal. While it's certainly not ideal, Luchi believes his squad has the necessary depth to handle the situation. Bressan, Tanner Tessmann, Bryan Reynoldsand Kyle Zobeck all featured as substitutes against SKC and helped Dallas earn an important away draw. With injuries still affecting the squad, they'll likely be called upon again as FCD looks to get another positive result on the road this Wednesday.
ANDRÉS RICAURTE
- New midfield signing Andrés Ricaurte made Dallas' match day squad for the first time last week in Kansas City. Although he didn't see the field, it's a promising sign that he's being readied for his MLS and FCD debut. Considering Pomykal is looking at six months on the sidelines following surgery, Ricaurte could be called upon to fill the Homegrown playmaker's boots sooner rather than later.
ZOBECK DEBUTS
- Following a first-half injury to starting keeper Jimmy Maurer, Iowa native Kyle Zobeck made his MLS debut against SKC a full seven years after being drafted by the club in the 2013 MLS Supplemental draft. It made him the oldest player taken in an MLS draft (whether that draft be Super, Supplemental, College, etc.) to make his debut at 30 years, 209 days old. With Maurer still recovering, Zobeck is slated to make his first MLS start this Wednesday in Minnesota.
