FRISCO, Texas (July 25, 2025) - The FC Dallas Foundation and NUU are excited to announce the 2025 Community Action Grant recipients. Each organization empowers youth and communities in North Texas with an emphasis on one of the Foundation’s four pillars: healthy & active lifestyles, education, character building and social & economic impact.
“The FC Dallas Foundation supports programs that promote education, health and wellness for youth and communities in North Texas,” said Brooke Leverette, FC Dallas Foundation & Community Relations Senior Director. “Our Community Action Grant Program presented by NUU does just that. We could not be more excited for this class of grantees and the meaningful impact they all have in our community.”

We’re proud to support the FC Dallas Foundation’s Community Action Grant program and the organizations making a lasting difference across North Texas.”
Each grant recipient receives a $5,000 donation from the FC Dallas Foundation.
2025 FC Dallas Foundation Grantees
The **Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas** enables all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. In partnership with the City of Commerce Parks & Recreation Department, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas provides the Commerce Sports League that promotes healthy habits, boosts confidence and offers youth a sense of belonging.
**Community Connections** provides free extracurricular programs for individuals with special needs and meaningful support for their families. Their programs provide a safe and encouraging environment and are designed to allow children build social skills, friendships, and self-esteem through the arts and physical activities including adaptive soccer.
The **Seed Project Foundation** funds educational, agricultural and community initiatives that support sustainability. The Seed Project Foundation’s largest program, the McKinney Roots Farm, provides fresh produce and eggs to food-insecure individuals through local nonprofits, churches and schools. The farm also has a partnership with McKinney ISD and hosts approximately 1,600 students annually to teach them about agriculture and the importance of eating healthy, nutritious food.
**Visual Aid Volunteers** promotes the independence and success of people with visual impairments by providing quality braille materials. Through collaborative efforts with local school districts, Visual Aid Volunteers donates books with clear braille overlays allowing both sighted and visually impaired students to read together.
