FRISCO, Texas – FC Dallas returns to the pitch for their second week of preseason training and first outdoors due to the inclement weather that hit North Texas last week. The full training schedule for this week is listed below. All training sessions are open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Team Notes

Edson Edward suffers torn ACL in right knee during training on Thursday, Feb. 3
Second-year defender Edson Edward went down with a knee injury during an indoor training session at Fieldhouse USA on Thursday, Feb. 3. Team doctors determined the defender tore his ACL during a MRI examination over the weekend, but Edward will not undergo surgery until the swelling in the knee subsides.

FC Dallas scrimmage against Houston Baptist rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 15
FC Dallas was originally set to face Houston Baptist in its first preseason scrimmage on Tuesday, Feb. 8. Due to the wintry conditions in Dallas last week, team officials moved the friendly back one week to Tuesday, Feb. 15. The match is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. at Pizza Hut Park.

Luna back with Mexican Under-20 National Team
FC Dallas forward Ruben Luna rejoined the Mexican Under-20 National Team in El Salvador on Saturday, Feb. 5. He is expected to return to FC Dallas camp on Friday, Feb 11.

Paul Ogunyemi and Jonathan Top awaiting physicals
Center back Paul Ogunyemi and Home Grown player Jonathan Top have yet to practice with the FC Dallas first team. Both are awaiting team physicals.

Ihemelu scheduled to undergo surgery
Center back Ugo Ihemelu is scheduled to fly to Philadelphia this Wednesday, Feb. 9, to undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia. Ihemelu played in 19 matches and netted one goal during the 2010 season. The goal was a game-winner, giving FC Dallas its first victory in Houston’s Robertson Stadium.

FC Dallas to face New England Revolution in Orlando
The defending Western Conference champions will face the New England Revolution on Wednesday, Feb.23 at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla. The match is set to kick off at 11 a.m. ET.
